- Directions: Combine 2 cups Isomalt and ½ Cup distilled hot water in a heavy saucepan over medium heat until dissolved.
- Using a candy thermometer, bring the mixture up to 320F degrees—remove from heat.
- If you want to add color, add liquid or gel color at 280F degrees.
- If you want to add flavor, add liquid flavoring once removed from heat.
- Pour the liquid isomalt mixture into a greased candy mold, silicone mat, or sheet pan.
- Allow to cool and harden completely before handling, about 10 minutes.
- The contents are extremely hot, handled with care, and kept out of reach of children.
- Store in temperatures between 59 – 77 degrees F, and between 20% – 60% relative humidity
